Do you think everything is already imagined and realized about staircases?
With her brand new range « VOLCANO », Sogem would like to prove that it’s still possible to innovate for a product not only useful and functional but which is also become a decoration item.

The material used for the treads and strings is himself innovating because it’s not massive or lamellar woods like fir, beach or oak. The stairs of the range  « VOLCANO » are produced with wood fibre panel Valchromat® coloured throughout and within organic colourings are added to give this colour like volcanic ash.

Which are the advantages of Valchromat® ?
These wood fibre panels are anti-damp, non toxic and ecological. To complete the ecological aspect of this product, the finishing of these stairs is made with a natural oil especially perfected by the laboratory of the company Muylle Facon, that’s the oil Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus. Its components are mainly natural products and doesn’t contain volatile organic components (= VOC free).

Which elements are essential in your choice of a model of staircase ?
As all the other models proposed by Sogem, the staircases « VOLCANO » are with standard dimensions and delivered in kit form. Their prices cannot be therefore compare with a staircase made to measure !
These staircases « VOLCANO »  are still adaptable regarding the height by cutting off treads. We deliver an oil bottle Rubio Monocoat which makes possible to realize some touchings up after adaptation and mounting of the stair.
